Our most common style of case, available with hinged
or removable lid. (shown with optional casters) - used as a cable or
accessory case, multi-laptop case, musical instrument case
(generally a thinner version) etc.
|
Designed for
situations where
equipment must be easy to remove from case, but product shape makes
a lower split unworkable. Available with removable lid only. |
Ideal for CRT-type
computer monitors, or any product that is difficult to lift over
an upper or mid split-point. Available with removable lid only |
Often constructed with
interior "pigeon holes" for loading of multiple items, or
fitted with ramps to help ease
larger wheeled items into case. |
The standard design
for EIA rack mount gear, along with a
host of other equipment that needs access from both front and rear |
Pop-top cases are
ideal for combinations of gear - i.e. musicians may load the front
of a case with effects processors or amplifiers, (also accessible
from the rear) while having a sound mixer mounted at the top - simply
remove three covers and all gear is ready for use. |
Upper and Lower splits
offer the benefits of a lower split case (easy product removal),
while allowing an upper compartment for accessories or extra
components (a "floor" is built into the case, usually
3-4" down from the upper split) Typically the lower split
is removable, while the upper is hinged |
Clamshell cases are an
alternative to lower split cases, when equipment is too tall to
remove a lid over, or to mid split cases, when equipment is poorly
shaped for a lower split, but too heavy to lift over a mid split |
A variant on the upper
split style, luggage style cases are fitted with
recessed casters and a retractable handle - great for
projectors, tool cases, demo kits, etc. |
